Career Highlights
Helping organizations communicate with clarity during moments that matter is at the heart of what I do. I advise senior leaders, lead strategic communications programs and help organizations navigate change, manage crises and connect with the people they serve. My experience spans federal agencies, military organizations and healthcare systems across the United States, Europe and the Indo-Pacific, bringing together strategic communications, executive counsel, media relations, community engagement and storytelling. Whether supporting healthcare leaders, advising senior executives and general officers, strengthening public trust in natural resource management or leading communications across diverse communities and cultures, my focus is the same - build relationships, tell meaningful stories and help organizations earn the confidence of the people they serve. I believe thoughtful, honest communication has the power to strengthen organizations, build trust and create stronger communities. That’s the perspective, experience and energy I’m excited to bring to what comes next.
Bureau of Land Management
Helping people understand public lands.
At the Bureau of Land Management, I led communications across diverse and often complex public land issues, serving as Director of Communications in New Mexico and Lead Public Affairs Officer for the Eastern States State Office. From environmental planning and energy development to conservation and recreation, I worked alongside senior leaders to make complicated topics accurate, balanced and accessible for audiences with very different perspectives. I also advised executives on sensitive issues, developed communication strategies spanning a 31-state region and built relationships with employees, community leaders, elected officials and media across the eastern United States.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Connecting Communities Across the Indo-Pacific.
As Chief of Public Affairs for the Honolulu District, I led communications for military construction, civil works and environmental restoration projects across Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Micronesia, Palau and other Pacific islands. I advised senior leaders on high-profile projects and emerging issues while navigating engineering, environmental stewardship, cultural considerations and community expectations. That same approach guides my work today: listen first, communicate openly and build trust through transparency.
National Park Service
Telling America’s Stories
As Director of Communications for the National Parks of New York Harbor, I combined public service with storytelling, advising the commissioner responsible for 12 national park sites while leading media relations, legislative affairs, crisis communications and strategic partnerships. From Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts to collaborations with organizations including the National Park Foundation and the United Nations, my focus was connecting people with America’s history in ways that were meaningful, relevant and accessible.
Defense Finance & Accounting Service
Making the Complex Clear
As Deputy Director of Corporate Communications for DFAS, I translated complex financial and operational information into clear, accessible communication for employees and customers. I advised senior executives, led national communication initiatives and oversaw enterprise programs focused on transparency, compliance and employee engagement across one of the Department of Defense’s largest financial organizations.
U.S. Army Africa
Communication Without Borders
My international communications experience has given me the opportunity to work with military leaders, embassies and partner nations across Africa, Europe and North America. While based in Vicenza, Italy, I led television, digital media, print communications and strategic messaging supporting military operations and international partnerships. Working across cultures and with audiences around the world strengthened my ability to understand different perspectives and adapt communication accordingly, an approach that continues to shape how I connect with people today.
U.S. Army Medical Readiness Command
Communication That Supports Better Patient Care
Healthcare communications remains an area especially meaningful to me. My experience with Tripler Army Medical Center, Pacific Regional Medical Command and Winn Army Community Hospital strengthened my ability to communicate with patients, families, medical professionals and surrounding communities, while supporting healthcare leaders through both everyday communication and challenging situations. From crisis communication and media relations to explaining complex medical issues, I learned the importance of communicating with clarity, empathy and care. I carry that perspective with me today because, in healthcare, communication does more than inform. It builds confidence, eases uncertainty and helps people make informed decisions when they need it most.
U.S. Army Europe
Strategic Communications on a Global Stage
My time with the 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command in Germany helped shape the way I approach strategic communications today. Working alongside military leaders from across Europe, I developed expertise in strategic communication, executive support, media relations and visual storytelling while seeing firsthand the value of connecting an organization’s mission with the people it serves. That experience reinforced something that remains central to my work today: I love helping organizations tell their stories, strengthen relationships and communicate with purpose.
Recognition
I've been honored to receive the Department of Defense, Department of the Army and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' highest awards for excellence in communications, including the Thomas Jefferson Award, Keith L. Ware Award and Herbert A. Kassner Award. I'm deeply grateful for those recognitions, but I'm equally proud of what continues to define my work today - building relationships, supporting leaders and helping organizations communicate with integrity and purpose.
